Bravest Warriors #20
Jason and Breehn wrap up their three-issue writing stance on the Bravest Warriors comics with #20, on sale today. Mike Holmes is the illustrator, and Whitney Cogar and Lisa Moore colored the thing. Finally, Steve Wands is the letterer. Go collect all four covers, including this leggy-Beth one by Jose Garcia.
This is it, my last issue AND the last issue of the story arc!
Issues 17-20 tie directly into the second season, and they answer some BIG questions, and there are a lot of firsts for all of the Bravest Warriors. #20 especially has some huge moments if you follow the relationships of these guys.
So yeah, maybe read these
my last issue everbtw my next project is amazing and I’ll tell you about it soon
Issue 20 of Bravest Warriors will be my last issue as series artist - I’m moving on to different and cool projects, some of which are my own! There will be announcements in the very near future about those.
It’s sad, because I loved working on this book and coming up with brand new alien planets and creatures every month. But I’m so glad I got to work with Joey Comeau for the first 12 issues - he really hit a lot of emotional bulls-eyes with these characters and he really got weird with the stories. Also Breehn Burns and Jason Johnson, the team from the actual show, have written scripts that are crazy and hilarious AND are canonical to the show (issues 18-20 tie DIRECTLY to the show’s mythology!). And of course the fill-ins written by Eric Esquivel & Tessa Stone were terrific. Not to mention the awesome colors provided by Lisa Moore & Zack Sterling, and the letters by Steve Wands, and my awesome editor Shannon Watters.
Plus! Ian McGinty is taking over for me as artist, and I love that guy and his art!
Thanks so much to everyone who’s been reading, I can’t wait to tell you what’s coming up next!
hello you dudes -
My friend Paul Hammond’s comic Hey You Guys is really great - he took over my old spot in The Coast when True Story ended. I love this comic so much, it is beautiful and weird and funny.
PLUS he’s one half of the amazing screenprinting duo Yo Rodeo!
They make posters that you need.
anyways look at his stuff

TRUE STORY is coming back.
If you have an amazing/crazy/funny/weird/terrifying true story that you’d like to share - maybe one you’ve been telling your friends for years - I’d like to turn it into a comic strip.
Help spread the word! Reblog, share on Facebook, call your grandma!
Send your stories to: firstname.lastname@example.org (ignore the old email on those comics).
Thanks everyone - it’s exciting to start making these again!
It was announced at NYCC this past weekend - I’ll be drawing the comics revival of ‘Denver the Last Dinosaur’ for Lion Forge Comics. I used to watch this show all the time, can’t wait to start up on this!
I can’t show any artwork right now, it’s being kept under wraps - but I can promise that the new designs will include his trademark pink shades/guitar (I’ll be redesigning all the characters).
Until then please enjoy the theme song from the original show, which is one of the best cartoon theme songs.
PS I’ll continue to draw Bravest Warriors for BOOM!
