Patton Oswalt Live posters by the hilarious and multi-talented Mike Holmes. Looks like comedy shows is on it’s way to being as cool as rock concerts…
YAAAAY comedy likes me
Okay, so Patton Oswalt’s latest CD/DVD/Showtime special taping was last night, and I designed the poster for it. The orders have started coming in for them - if you’d like to order it, or any of the posters/prints I’ve designed, you should order them from me here!
Seriously. Don’t be shy. I would be MORE than happy to mail them to you.
My Etsy store is now fully stocked.
If you’ve been waiting for me to print the Patton Oswalt posters (or the other two things I did) wait no longer. You can order them right now!
It’s out. My new book “True Story”, a collection of comic strips based on real stories sent to me by readers, is available across North America today. It’s over 100 stories, including some brand-new, exclusive stories from the world of comics, literature and comedy. Who? Joey Comeau (A Softer World), Jonathan Goldstein (Wiretap), Kate Beaton (Hark, A Vagrant), Darwyn Cooke, Dustin Harbin, Faith Erin Hicks (Brain Camp), and Paul F. Tompkins!
Where can you buy it?
In Halifax: Go to Strange Adventures, pal. Best comic book shop in the world.
In Canada: Chapters/Indigo, comic book stores, and Amazon.
In the US: Amazon, Barnes & Noble (available April 28).
I’ll also be debuting the book at TCAF in Toronto, May 7-8. It’s free, it’s at the Toronto Public Library, and it’s unmissable if you live there.
In Montreal, May 5, I’ll be doing a panel and signing at 7pm at the Drawn & Quarterly Bookstore, with creators David Collier and Phillipe Girard. Come visit me!
There are more events to come, including a launch party, a gallery show with Rebecca Kraatz and so much more!
Help me get the word out, guys! Reblog, retweet, everything! I’m really proud of this book, and I think you’re going to love it. But don’t take my word for it - check these awesome quotes:
“Mike Holmes’ work finds subtlety in the epic and cosmic connections in tiny moments. You’re going to love every moment of this.” - Patton Oswalt, comedian and author of Zombie Spaceship Wasteland
“Mike Holmes is insanely talented and his work bristles with the kind of humanity and insight that is rare in comics – or in humans, for that matter.” - Tom Scharpling, host of The Best Show on WFMU and one half of comedy duo Scharpling & Wurster
Thanks!
-Mike
Well, look what arrived today.
It will be available this Friday, April 15. Buy it at Chapters & Indigo bookstores and Amazon in Canada, and Amazon in the US (US bookstores to be announced soon). OR buy directly from Invisible Publishing!
I’ll be doing dates in Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, Frederiction, and possibly New York. More details to come!
Thanks to Patton Oswalt and Tom Scharpling for the awesome quotes.

Monday night sketch - Sad Comedians.
A poster for Patton Oswalt’s Boston show that he commissioned from me. The show was this past Saturday, and despite my best efforts I didn’t make it down there to see him.
I’ll be making screenprints of these next month (I’m just too crazy busy with the book right now) so I’ll post when they’re done, if anyone wants one.
